I had been exchanging emails to improve my English and I had thought about start to send letters but…I never did it.

Then, a random conversation about this and thanks to an unknown guy, made me find Slowly. Unfortunately my phone, an old one, couldn’t download the app so…I kept it in my mind, maybe in the future?

And the future arrived, I left my country to start a voluntary work experience and one friend gave me a phone, it didn’t work at the beginning but after a month, he told me: “are you using my phone?” I said: “No it doesn’t work” and he insisted about try again to see if the phone could work…
That was my first day in Slowly.

What to say, I liked the idea to exchange messages in a calm and detailed way, going out of the common texting which usually puts to many importance in superficial things but finally, I discovered much more, when I thought about use it to talk with Greeks to improve the knowledge of a country and language which I already started to love…

Yes, I have talked with people from other countries too but the main characters of my conversations were the Greeks and they helped me a lot, teaching me, being patient and correcting my faults in a language as much different to the Spanish.

Thanks to the time which they shared with me I have been able to enjoy my experience in Greece in the best way, not only for the knowledge if not also for the meetings and even real letters which I have exchanged with them, making me feel close to people from a beginning where I was almost alone in my work, in a different country.

I will return to my home town soon but Slowly will continue close to me, keeping the contact with those who I already know and opening new routes with others more!
