A year ago in a very warm August I discovered this app in the App Store as a daily recommendation. I don’t know how but somehow they knew what to recommend me because I always wanted to write letters to people around the world and meet them and their culture.

A year later I am happy to say that I have met incredible friends that are in my life, even though they are from another country. We exchanged our phone numbers and emails and addresses, we talk and share and it is wonderful. But one person particularly owns my heart and that is my best friend Micaela who I met on this app.

I don’t know how to explain the love and gratitude I have for her. I came out to her as transgender and she is the only person who really sees me for who I am as a person, she doesn’t see my body, she sees me. Micaela gives me advices daily, we talk daily, we watch GoT together through Skype and we talk on the phone. Even though physically she is not there I have her in my heart all the time. Recently I published my poetry books and she is the one who edited them and helped me make them and put them out the way I want to. When there are boys problems, she is the one to save me from losing my mind, when there are happy news, she is the one to receive them first. Eventually we started exchanging the letters in physical form and we write each other all the time.

Micaela is my soulmate and my one and only. I know her for 10 months now but she is the one I believe in, the one who inspires me daily and motivates me to be a better person. She has a heart of a thousand fields of roses, daisies and irises along with the clouds, the sun and the moon. Any person to know her and have her in their life has won the lottery and already owns a cauldron filled with gold.

Thank you Slowly for giving me and her this opportunity to meet many amazing people. I’ve been using this app for a year and I won’t stop. There are many incredible journeys to come and many incredible people to be met. I cannot wait for it. Thank you so much.
